EON Clinics - Dental Implant Cost

Dental implants are a form of prosthetic implant that replaces missing teeth with artificial crowns. They are made of titanium and are designed to mimic natural teeth. A dental implant typically replaces the missing tooth in the same jaw, but in some cases they may also be used in the upper or lower jaw for crowns, bridges or dentures.

This procedure retains a good appearance and teeth feel natural. For the procedure, one needs to have healthy gums and sufficient bone to support the implants. It is essential to maintain good oral hygiene along with regular visits to the dentist until the procedure is entirely successful.

What to Expect From a Tooth Implant Procedure?

 The first step to get a tooth implant/dental implant would be teeth evaluation. This is the process of evaluating a treatment plan for an individual to determine the condition of the patient’s jawbone. Then impressions of the teeth are taken. Tooth extraction will be done if you have any remaining tooth that needs replacing, the dentist will remove it before the procedure is performed.

 In step two the tooth root implant is inserted into the jawbone and along with it, the other implant goes directly under the gum line. As the jaw bone heals, it grows around the implant anchoring it securely to the jaw, and the healing process can take from six to twelve weeks.

 The next step is called abutment placement where once the implant is bonded to the jawbone, a small connector post called an abutment is attached to the post to hold the new tooth securely. A replacement tooth called a crown is then attached to the abutment. The abutment needs to be tightened so it stays in place when you eat. The dentist will add a healing cap to keep the tissue and bone from growing overtop of the abutment.

Implants can either be removable or permanent. You can use a removable option if you have multiple teeth in the back, just like removable dentures, and they can be cleaned or replaced if necessary. Since fixed implants are permanently attached to the abutment, they cannot be taken out. The right teeth implants are an investment that can make you healthier and happier than ever before.
