Are Mini Dental Implants Good?
Unlike traditional dental implants, mini implants do not require bone grafting. Patients who receive mini dental implants typically have a shorter surgery and healing time. Mini dental implants are 1.8-3.3mm in diameter. Because mini implants are much smaller in size, it is likely they will not be able to handle as much strain as the traditional sized dental implants.
Mini dental implants require a patient to have enough jaw bone to secure the implant. If
the implant is not properly bonded to the jaw, there is a risk of it falling out. The smaller size
increases the risk of the implant falling out over time. This could also lead to further health
problems as well. Although the price of mini dental implants can be less expensive initially,
there is a chance that they will need to be replaced and cost more money and time for the
patient. EON clinics does not offer mini dental implants for these reasons.
